Ballon d’Or 2026: Kane, Putellas, Yamal and Other Winners Honoured
The 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony celebrated the biggest individual and team achievements in football, with Harry Kane and Alexia Putellas taking the main men’s and women’s prizes alongside a host of other award winners.

The 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony delivered a night of major individual and team honours, with Harry Kane, Alexia Putellas, Lamine Yamal, Unai Simón and several other football figures recognised across the different award categories.
Kane emerged as one of the biggest winners of the evening after collecting the Men’s Ballon d’Or and the Men’s Striker of the Year award. The recognition adds another major achievement to a career defined by goals, consistency and a long-standing reputation as one of the leading forwards of his generation.
The England captain’s Ballon d’Or triumph was the headline moment in the men’s categories. His success also underlined the importance of his individual production, with the striker award providing a second piece of silverware on the same night.
Alexia Putellas claimed the Women’s Ballon d’Or, adding another major individual honour to her decorated career. The Barcelona midfielder has remained one of the most influential names in women’s football, and her latest recognition further highlights her impact at the highest level.
Putellas was not the only winner representing the women’s game. Cata Coll was named Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, while Vicky López received the Women’s Young Talent award. The honours recognised both established quality and emerging potential within the women’s game.
Pere Romeu was also recognised as the Women’s Coach of the Year, while FC Barcelona collected the Women’s Club of the Year award. The combination of individual and team honours made it a particularly successful night for the Barcelona side.
In the men’s categories, Unai Simón won the Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year award. The Spain international has established himself as an important figure between the posts, and the award places him among the standout goalkeepers recognised during the ceremony.
Lamine Yamal took home the Men’s Young Talent award. The Barcelona winger has become one of the most closely watched young players in world football, and the honour represents another significant step in his rapidly developing career.
Luis de la Fuente was named Men’s Coach of the Year. The Spain manager received recognition for his work on the touchline, adding another prestigious award to a ceremony that celebrated achievements across different areas of the sport.
Paris Saint-Germain won the Men’s Club of the Year award. The honour gave the French club one of the evening’s major team prizes and highlighted its place among the leading sides recognised at the ceremony.
Away from the main Ballon d’Or categories, Bukayo Saka received the Sócrates Award. The award recognises footballers for their social and humanitarian contributions, making Saka’s achievement a different but equally important form of recognition.
Charlyn Corral was named Women’s Striker of the Year, completing the list of individual winners shown at the ceremony. Her award recognised her contribution in front of goal and placed her among the leading attacking players honoured in the women’s categories.
The spread of awards showed that the Ballon d’Or ceremony is about more than the main men’s and women’s prizes. Goalkeepers, young players, coaches, clubs, strikers and players involved in social causes were all recognised, giving the event a broader representation of football excellence.
For Kane, the night was particularly memorable because of his double success. Winning the Men’s Ballon d’Or is one of the biggest individual achievements available to a footballer, while adding the Men’s Striker of the Year award made his evening even more significant.
Putellas also left the ceremony with the sport’s most prestigious women’s individual prize. Her victory placed her at the centre of the women’s awards, while Coll, López, Romeu and Corral ensured that several different aspects of the women’s game were represented.
The young-player awards also offered a glimpse into the future. Yamal’s recognition in the men’s category and López’s honour in the women’s category highlighted the next generation of talent and their growing influence on the game.
The coaching awards brought attention to the work that happens away from the pitch. De la Fuente’s victory in the men’s category and Romeu’s success in the women’s category showed how tactical leadership and team management continue to play an important role in football’s biggest achievements.
Club honours completed the wider picture. Paris Saint-Germain were recognised among the men’s clubs, while FC Barcelona received the women’s club award. These prizes acknowledged collective success rather than individual performances and added another dimension to the evening.
The 2026 ceremony therefore produced a broad list of winners, from established stars to young talents and from players to coaches and clubs. Each award told a different story, but together they reflected the many people who contribute to football at the highest level.
With Kane and Putellas taking the main Ballon d’Or prizes, Yamal and López earning young-player honours, Simón and Coll recognised among the goalkeepers, De la Fuente and Romeu celebrated as coaches, and Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona honoured as clubs, the ceremony provided a complete celebration of the sport.
Saka’s Sócrates Award added an important reminder that football’s influence extends beyond results and trophies. The award placed social impact alongside sporting achievement and gave the ceremony another meaningful dimension.
The honours also showed how different forms of excellence can be celebrated within the same ceremony. A goalkeeper’s contribution is judged differently from a striker’s, while a coach’s influence often appears through the performances of an entire squad. The award list brought those distinctions together without taking away from the importance of the main prizes.
There was also a clear balance between experience and youth. Kane and Putellas represented established stars reaching another high point, while Yamal and López represented players whose careers are still developing. Their inclusion among the winners made the ceremony a celebration of both what football has already produced and what may come next.
For supporters, the collection of winners provides plenty to discuss, particularly with the main Ballon d’Or prizes going to two of the sport’s most prominent figures. The supporting awards ensured that the night was not focused on a single category, instead recognising achievements across the wider football landscape.
The 2026 Ballon d’Or winners will now carry their latest honours into the next chapter of their careers. For some, the awards confirm years of excellence; for others, they mark the beginning of what could become an even bigger journey. Either way, the ceremony brought together the players, coaches and clubs who stood out across the different categories and gave them their moment on one of football’s biggest stages.
